So this is me: mother, partner, professional, friend and avid health enthusiast (which is an understatement!).
I am also a Certified Holistic Health Coach with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Human Nutrition.
I’ve been studying nutrition and the human body since I was 13 years old. At that time, the fat-free fad was well underway, and I was painstakingly following this trend. I remember being an extremist in this approach, until one day I attended a seminar given by a man who treated illness with healthy fats.
What?? That was my reaction. After listening to the supporting research and rationale behind his claims, I was completely intrigued. I wanted to learn more – needed to learn more – and so I started my research.
I found that everything I read, whether it was written by a doctor, a dietitian, or other health professional, conflicted and confused me. Some things made no sense at all, but for the most part EVERYTHING made some sense, and I just didn’t know what to believe anymore. So that’s when I decided what my career would be: a nutrition expert.
When it came time for me go to University, I chose the most reputable school and set out to learn the “truth” about diet and health. I won’t go into it here, but let’s just say that I was disappointed. I gained weight, became obsessed and anxious about “healthy eating”, and ultimately felt pretty awful. I earned my degree and got my first job as a Registered Dietitian, but never bothered to look for a second. I knew that path wasn’t for me.
I went on to study at two Holistic Health institutes, and finally got a grip on my own struggles. I continued to follow the scientific literature and various health experts, and eventually developed a simple and effective system for maintaining my own well-being and to share with my clients.

I changed my own life and body with this very approach: education, experimentation, and holistic techniques. I now have unwavering confidence in my food choices, and am able to eat what I want without stress. I don’t spend hours in the kitchen or at the gym, either. Does this sound appealing to you?

I incorporate today’s leading advances in science and wellness from a whole health perspective. This means that I address a client’s well-being in totality, rather than focusing on any single element, as many practitioners do.
